About Our Founder
Christopher G. Birchfield
Chris Birchfield and his family have served the construction industry for over three generations. After earning his B.S. in Electronic Engineering in 1988, he spent several years working with modern technologies developed for the U.S. Federal Government, as well as several Fortune 500 companies. This experience led him to expand his role in business development and educational presentation opportunities to better assist engineering teams and clients with projects and business solutions.
In 2005, Chris founded No Burn SE, Inc., where he introduced new fire-retardant and intumescent coating solutions to the construction industry. By 2012, No Burn SE had outgrown its original portfolio of brand solutions, so Global Fireproof Solutions, Inc. was founded to provide nationwide manufacturer-certified fire-retardant and intumescent coating solutions.
In addition to directing a multi-state company, Chris is instrumental in offering consulting services, as well as education for architectural, building, and fire code audiences throughout the United States and Canada. He is passionate about informing and creating awareness of advancements in modern technologies and application strategies within the fire-retardant and intumescent coatings industry.
