Recently there has been an upturn of projects where untreated Trusses penetrate a firewall.
Global Fireproof Solutions is able to offer a wide range of applications both on-site and in our factory setting.
Our on-site spray-applied fire retardant applications can bring that truss to Class A Structural Fire Rating (ASTM E2768), in just one coat!

Older-style fireproofing is prone to flaking and in some cases has to be removed to make way for hangars, conduit, etc.
Global Fireproof Solutions is able to provide a method of patching these spots quickly and cleanly using an Intumescent Coating.
Up to a 2-hour rating (ASTM E-119) can be achieved in this way, with minimal downtime or business disruption compared to patching with traditional cementitious.

We have received a flood of questions lately regarding the products we use in our high performance applications and whether or not they meet certain standards. We would like to take a moment to talk about one in particular; The ASTM E84-10 and the ASTM E84-10 (20 minute Extended).
This standard has been commonly referred to as just the 'ASTM E84 test', but this has been confusing in many cases. When stating ASTM E84, one may assume it is only the 10 minute test, not the extended 20 minutes.
To supplement this, ASTM developed a new standard; ASTM E2768. This new standard fully documents and details a 30 minute test.

Global Fireproof Solutions and our partner manufacturers are providing a new tested "Alternative Method Intumescent Coating Solution" to meet the building code fire protection requirements for soffits. GFS works closely with local district governments, architects and general contractors to provide the necessary submittal documents and application process in order to receive approval prior to starting the project. These applications will be able to be applied to both new construction and existing construction quickly and easily.
GFS Certified Intumescent Coating Applications for Soffits are applied by Trained and Certified Technicians to a thickness of 45 mils. One of our expert applicators can apply a coat of Intumescent Coating just as easily as a painter could paint. Due to our method of application we are able to treat both old and new construction, and new construction projects can be completed in much less time and with much less impact to other trades compared to traditional methods of achieving proper fire rating.
We at Global Fireproof Solutions are always excited by the opportunity to speak with people from all around the world, to share information about the newest Fireproofing Technologies, and to answer questions about the latest advancements in High Performance Fire Resistance Solutions.
